Is this look too regis?

I just picked up a black tie with silver and blue stripes (d.este, from Nordstrom Rack) and I was pondering wearing it with a black or blue shirt and my blue brioni jacket, which is navy with broad blue pinstripes. Here is a pic of the jacket.

The tie has broad silver and blue alternating stripes. What do you guys think?

I have to agree with Mike on this one. There's something shady about black and blue being worn together. That said, I still wear black shoes with a navy suit.

I'd never wear a dark dress shirt with a suit and/or tie.

I was thinking more along the lines of a darker blue striped dress shirt rather than something solid. What about a blue/white striped shirt with that shirt and tie? Or a royal blue dress shirt? I guess I am pretty fond of dark on dark combinations.
