Ironing out pleats

Levi's just came out with a slick pair of red 511 trousers. I went to try them on today and found that they have pleats running down the leg of the pant. I despise pleats, is there anyway to iron them out? Do tailors have a way to remove them? The pants are 60/40 cotton poly/blend if that helps.

Are you sure they are pleats? It wouldn't really make sense for that to run down the legs. If you bought the jeans at an outlet store it might just be a defect.

Woah. Accidentally wrote 'pleats' instead of 'crease;' was a little tipsy last night. So yeah, ironing out the creases that run down the pant.
