Spiders, wasps, and bees (and frogs, anoles, and geckos, for that matter) get caught and put outside. Everything else dies a furious, violent death.

Since I live with the womenfolk (who have no great love for bugs of varying kinds), virtually everything gets dispatched. If I'm by myself, I leave the spiders alone. The damn mosquitoes die, particularly because I seem to have the tastiest blood in the house.

You really catch wasps? I hate those bastards. I use chem/bio on them.

Place a cup over them and let someone else do the dirty work.

The bolded part (which is why I voted "other"). If I have to kill others, neither painful nor excruciating are necessary. I am quick and ruthless on anything that flies, silverfish, and ants.

I have managed to teach the wimmenfolk in my house to tolerate spiders for their other-bug-killing usefulness, but there is no doubt that they still have "the fear".

This is inside only -- outside it is live and let die as nature intended.

If its a big one and im particularly bored I wound it, wrap it in tissue paper, set it on fire and throw it out my window. If they can escape from a flaming ball of paper, flying through the sky partially crushed then they deserve to live.

I don't really have a system, but if it flies (including wasps) I generally use the cup-and-paper trick and let them go outside. I usually let spiders out the same way. Faster stuff that would be too hard to catch in a cup usually gets swatted out of convenience.

There is one exception to this: Palmetto bugs. I hate, hate, hate them. Seriously, my contempt for them is just about irrational. They are vile, vile creatures, and I take no prisoners when it comes to their destruction.

Are spiders people too? They should form a union with the dolphins

Do you keep wasps alive because you feel an affiliation towards them?

All must die. All.

Except the cute ones. Ladybugs can live. All the rest must die.

Kill, kill, kill.

Die, die, die.

I use all methods at my disposal. Usually with roaches I grab them in a tissue and flush them down the toilet. Otherwise, just a quick kill with whatever is handy.

Kill only if i feel threatened.

Just this past Wednesday I was sitting in a class full of women (there was just one other male) and a creepy crawler fell onto the chair next to mine. It started crawling all over my bottle of snapple and I was actually watching it go around in circles. After about 20 min the woman on the other side of that chair jumped and started screaming. I let the class know I had watched it for a while and it was harmless but being these women were all so anxious I had no choice but to squash the poor bastard (kinda funny as it was a class on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Even the professor was astounded that I let it be for 20 min she kept giving me this look.

pretty pathetic but I though you guys could appreciate.

I've incapacitated cockroaches, wrap them in toilet paper and leave them to slowly drown in the can, the tp absorbs the water, sinking it slowly, while the cockroach tries but ultimately fail to find a way out.
