Allen Edmonds Lamberts are a two eyelet style that's around the $300 range. I have several pair (chili, black) and find them a bit sleeker (#8 last) and more interesting than most AE's

Thanks for all the kind responses.
EG, JL and so on are of course out of my price ranges as some already said.
I also want a plain toe, sorry if I didn't specify properly at the beginning.
The Alfred Sargent is my favourite so far, the AE I already had a look at and don't like it at all.
The Loake isn't an option as well, don't like the elongated vamp.
I'm still open to new ideas

BTW, here in Paris Lobb has ridiculous winter sales on seasonal collections -- down to 150 euros or 250 euros for some of them, so if you're in Europe you might want to swing by in a week or so.
