I think these things even out. I had what started out as a similar experience after a drink or two, in a similar kind of place (hamburgers rather than chicken), and approached the counter to complain about the ridiculous amount of time I had been kept waiting.

I presented my receipt to be informed that I had been waiting exactly 4 and a half minutes…

I checked my watch when the waiter was at the table, and I checked the recipt once I got home, it had taken 30 mins.

I don't doubt it. Just want you to know that I have, as a customer who has had a drink too many, contributed to the karmic balance.

This guy has probably had some customers like that - or if not, deserves them and .... they will come.
