Fortunately, they were back in shape for UNH. Teacher, if I could have 4 minutes of your time, you might enjoy this:

That Cornell team is huge compared to UNH. That was a brilliant cycle by Cornell.

Any y'all play? I just started playing roller outdoors as ice hockey and my clothing "habit" don't balance the budget...$70 for a season is ok by me (roller cost for 15 games plus playoffs), $350 (10 games plus playoffs-and thats the cheapest NYC league), not so much...how much do men's leagues cost in Canada?

I would say the average "beer (rec) league" here in the Canadian prairies costs about $15 per game. I've played semi-competitive hockey for the past 22 years - every year since I was 5.

Depending which city you're trying to play in here in Canada ice-time can be very scarce due to crazy demand, thus necessitating midnight or 6am games and/or boosting the cost considerably.

I played decently competitive hockey throughout high school (including my varsity team), but hung them up after my junior year to focus on school. I did intramural and an "ice hockey 102" gym class in college and it was great. The gym class gave us 2 hrs on ice twice a week for the whole semester for $70.

Wish I could play now, but i just don't have time with my job and NYC leagues are expensive and difficult for transportation. And my equipment would take up an insane amount of space in the apartment.

Sigh...

Tell me about it...my roller **** is sitting in my front foyer in a bag the day before and day after a game (it dries here, goes into the bag, and into my trunk). Nothing worse than putting on ice cold equipment thats been sitting in your car.

I thought about keeping it in my storage unit downstairs, but my skates smell so bad (ice and roller hockey skates) that anything in the unit will be compromised...
