OK, starting today, I can't get a single eBay page to load fully. It always seems to stop when "Transferring data from thumbs.ebaystatic.com" or "Waiting for pics.ebaystatic.com" or "Waiting for ebay01.bunchofnumbers.whatever."

Has anyone had this problem? Could it be my firewall or something?

Ok, figured out. I have Panda Antivirus 2007 Personal...I turned the firewall off, and now ebay loads fine. How do I change the settings to make this permanent? The Panda interface is kind of ******.

You need to find the 'white list' or list of allowed sites and put *ebay* in it. Never used Panda though, sorry.

Do you think eBay is trying to slip in adware, and my firewall is picking it up?

I tried that, but Panda only seems to have an allowed applications list.

Well that isn't very efficient; I'd look for a new firewall like ZoneAlarm. eBay would have a ton to lose if they installed spyware so I'd say no, it isn't a real alert.
