I can't find this pair of bucks - Simple

I am looking for a dark brown (chocolate) suede buck with a red sole. I feel like this shouldn't be a hard find, but I've looked everywhere online and I've come up with nothing.

Any advice?

I think JCrew had them (i got them in white). Just checked...no longer there. Too bad you weren't looking for them a month ago. They were on sale for around $70.

Check the Jack model, but it is more of a mid-brown, but has the red sole.

Right, close but no cigar. If you could combine the brown suede from the Sanders Harry chukka (or slightly darker) with the style of the Jack, that'd be perfect.

Thanks, yeah it's just too light for what I had in mind. I would prefer a brown or chocolate suede.

Might be able to dye a pair of dirty bucks? I have no idea how hard it is to evenly dye suede (or how expensive it is to have a cobbler do it, or if the results would turn out well, etc).

But probably possible if done by somebody experienced with dying. Talk to your local cobber about that option.

Thanks for all responses. So I walked into the local Nordstrom Rack and lo and behold I found a shoe that met my criteria, it was just the wrong size. (Cole Haan Derby Plain Toe II. Model # C07596 in case anyone reads this and wants to get the same thing). So I started calling around to the retail stores, but all were out. I was instructed to call an outlet, which I did. They had what I needed, and they were $50 shipped.

Obviously they won't be suitable for work, but for 50 bucks, I think they will work for weekend wear for a year or two and I'm pleased.
