How To Tell Someone They Have Plumber's Crack?

A buddy of mine has severe hairy plumber's crack and has had it for along time. It's so bad I don't want him sitting on my couches and cringe when I think about the time's I've let him sit in my car. I remember once I went with him when he went to a tailor to get some pants taken in. The seamstress was taking in the waist, pinched up the fabric and peeked over the edge to see if there was enough room left, she got an eyeful and recoiled like someone had punched her in the face.

He never wears a belt (I suspect he's too lazy/cheap to get one) but I think he's blissfuly clueless that people cringe whenever they're exposed to it. Unfortunately I don't think anyone has ever had the heart to tell him. How do I tell him in a tactful way? (I fully realize this may get moved to dumb threads, but I'm looking for at least 1 real answer before everyone has at it.)

My friend had a similar problem with the Ab Crunch at the gym where he had an Underwear Show.

In all honesty, this should not be this difficult. Just tell him straight up. If he gets angry and picks his stanky plumber's ass off your couch, let him go. If he comes back, he is yours, if he does not, he never was.
