How tight in the waist should suit pants/trousers be?

Opinions?

Should it be loose enough where you can tuck in a shirt without unfastening the button or hook closure? Or more snug like a pair of jeans? Or is it all just personal preference?

Tight enough that they don't slide down on you but not so tight that the pleats or pockets flair out on you. Usualy you do want them to fit a littel more sung then you would a pair of jeans.

Does anyone get the belt loops removed, and have side adjusters put on their trousers?
