Examining it closely tends to help. Most of the time you'll find that it's not love. An unrequited crush is much easier to deal with when you aren't convincing yourself that you're in love.

You can't get over something you never had.

It's like asking, "How should I get over the Ferrari I never bought?"

EDIT: ^^ oh yeah, that too.

Unrequited or not, I find that I dont get over someone until I find someone new. Start chatting with a new lady and you'll forget all about this one.

Merkur starts so many of these threads all over the place that I feel it's not really one person but a swirling mass of congealed hungry ghosts, and each new poal represents the current dominant personality expressing its past life's longing.

You have a wild imagination. Ever think about writing fiction?

Cope by taking a page from the Quixotically hilarious book of one of the Forvm's finest unrequitees. You know who I mean.
