I've found this to be true, too, with shirts, suits, and jackets. And I look better in my clothes.

this thread was started almost 10 years ago. even if there was one it would have been lost in the turnover to the new system.

All of my older dress shirts and most of my older suits have been donated. I couldn't wear them any longer given how bad they looked.

Hmmm...actually decided to cut back this year and still somehow splashed 2400 USD so far this year. Didn't realize it was that bad... :/

Not a lot. Maybe in a year give or take $3000. I don't own a whole lot of suits unlike some gents who wear custom made suits year round, I wear mostly business casuals a couple of days and alternate with suits only if necessary, like important meeting with clients.
