With relatively few ties you can roll them and store them on a shelf. They keep their shape too.
Some haberdashers store extra stock this way in drawers.

Hmm, never really liked rolling them up. Seems like too much effort :p but will try and look for something that will keep them nice and tidy

If one rolls them, should they be stored on end, or sideways?

Step 1: Buy some longhorns
Step 2: Put your ties on them
Step 3: ?
Step 4: Profit!

Not sure how many ties I own, but I am guessing 50ish. I just recently laid them out on the bed and decided which of the ties were worthy of staying and which had no chance of being tied around my neck. That exercise cut another 20 ties.

I have three tie racks in my closet and if I buy anymore ties I will probably need another. They are fairly efficient for space and can be pulled out for a better view.

Now I just need an efficient method of storing my pocket squares.
