I have some that are similar, and while I do not think they qualify as horse blankets, I acknowledge that others could reasonably disagree. But your first entry was an unreasonable submission. A horse blanket needs loud, assertive plaids - a simple windowpane, even over herringbone shouldn't be enough

How about this?

The reason I did not post it the first time is that A) it is a suit, not a jacket; and B) it is worsted, which seems like cheating.

That houndstooth, BTW, is the loudest coat I have. I have a greed tweed with a blue windowpane, but it is really not all that loud.

I am starting to think that the lack of horse blanketing is major hole in my wardrobe.

I don't understand - is it just anything remotely tweedy or patterned?

Sorry. I don't have the symbols handy, but you get it.

I know, that's why I figured the suit does not count.

I do not have a true horseblanket jacket. I am not really an iGent after all.

Matt, T4, any Shetlands you might suggest? Books or individual cloths?

Yeah, the dwarf nailed me on that one.

As I said, I have nothing that qualifies. I am sad. Must get one. But what?

There are a few more colorways of the one Jan and I are shown wearing. I think it comes from Islay Woolens.
