Unseasonably cool and stormy weather in South East Queensland the past few days. The wet weather is a nice excuse to wear longer coats, which are pretty much not fashionable or very "casual" in this part of the world otherwise. Shot myself and my friend the other day while visiting Brisbane, thought some of you guys in here might like the shots.

I really like this outfit Xeoniq, the coat material seems nice, and original detailing for a coat, zip and storm flap. Very "Here and Now": contemporary details, timeless outfit at the same time, casual chic and practical IMO. ?

@smittycl probably my favourite casual look of yours so far.

I went today to one of the rare shop here that stocks Buzz Rickson.
They had this super puffy MA-1...

The quality is great, and it's very warm, but i fear to look like the Michelin Man in that one...
I would much prefer their MA-1 "slender", or the William Gibson model (MA-1 or L-2B, like @Gerry Nelson) that also has the advantage of being longer at the waist.

That IS quite short, G. The one I have is far less puffy and defo not so short. Not a LONG, but just not as historically-midgetlike.

Well M. The ones you found in the late 70s early 80s were like that. You know my height so you can imagine. Happily jeans had a higher rise then !

... and, to compliment the grey suit (and raise @Clouseau 's puns), here's my Christys' Homburg

My mom said 'the only two men I ever saw with such a hat were your grandfather and Konrad Adenauer.'
I'm not sure this is a sign of appreciation ...

Good to have you here @Coldsnap. I know you mainly from the Uniqlo thread, and it would be interesting to have your input in "Here & Now" about how you developed your "own look".
I share with you the taste of Americana and Japanese stuff, if Uniqlo is good to fill the gaps, of course it's also nice to have in the wardrobe quality Japanese denim or top notch outerwear like your Buzz...

Thanks! Great thread idea. I've mainly been wearing Japanese denim and Americana stuff for a long while now. My wardrobe has been very casual. However, I finish up my masters next year and planning to enter back into the workplace in a more formal job. So I've been researching and looking at a lot of contempory menswear pieces.
