This is my cold weather parka collection, they're all made of GoreTex, so they're super utilitarian, but I think also stylish. View attachment 1874830 View attachment 1874831
Nice jackets ! I had a GoreTex in the time, but it was a Millet, french brand, mountaineering style.

Only picture i have wearing my Alpha M65 field jacket.

A belated Happy New Year to everyone. I have been following your posts but have had a bit of a break from styleforum lately. Must do better in 2023.

By the way, I just got an email from Dr Martens promoting the new Made in England line - some interesting, thin-soled shoes that I have not seen before.

Happy New Year, Mr K. Always a pleasure to read your posts. I think styleforum breaks are crucial, as any social media has proven effects on one's perspective. I do value and have learned a great deal from yourself and others through their posts, so I've always returned.
Thanks for the heads up, I'm ready for a new pair of MiE Docs.

This is interesting Mr K, i don't think i've seen them, maybe they are not released yet (if you had pictures) ? As you know i am an amateur of sleek thin-soles DMs, i bought several pairs since they have been re-doing them.

I have three pairs of the Made In England "Steed" (said to be a reedition of a late 1960s model in DM "Quilon" leather), that are my Grail (or ultimate) DMs.

MiE Steed, Black (i have two pairs), and Oxblood (got one pair, that's how they called them, even if they are more Cherry red).

Then they released the MiE Archie, last and soles were the same than Steed but they were in DM "Smooth" leather. I didn't buy a pair, because i already had the Steed. The "Oxblood" are really of a deep oxblood color (almost Burgundy).

And finally, they released the Archie 2, no longer Made in England, in smooth leather and with the external stitching, happily in tonal color. I finally bought a pair for a song at last year sales, and i am pretty happy i did, as like the Steed and the Archie, they are now discontinued. A cool model that i see from time to time on the feet of some guys of the SW&D WAYWT thread. (Thinking @shopcanoeclub)

Dr Martens still doing some models of the traditional (with thin-sole) 3 eye shoes at the moment, but they are collabs, and with the yellow DM TM stitching (Meh).
Looking forward to a new release !

Looking at them again this morning, I think they all have the yellow stitching around the soles.
