Is this more of a casual suit than formal because the quality of the fabric?
[/quote]

Casual/formal is more a function of material and suit type than quality.

It is what it is; an inexpensive blended material cut and assembled in an inexpensive way with a few gimmicky details. It's not a fine suit, but it sounds like it will meet your need and you can't do much better for $109. The upside is that it fits you pretty well and looks like a much more expensive garment because of it.

excuse me for my mistake, i meant to ask if the suit was more casual because of the look of the fabric. Seeing that it looks a little fuzzy/hairy, my friend was telling me he would regard it as a casual suit rather than formal one.

looks good, actually better than most.

to do:
Shorten sleeves a bit and pants quite a bit
clean up back of the jacket (let out around the neck and take in around the waist a bit)

for the money, it's excellent.

don't worry about 'fuzzy' fabric.

crisp white shirts and conservative ties and you're good to go

Funnily enough, my brother owns a Dolce & Gabbana suit that is 98% wool and 2% elastane. It definitely frames his silhouette much better than his 100% Trofeo Zegna suit.
