Hello,

I just got a pair of Tellason chinos (10oz fabric) and I love them. I wasn't a big of chinos before, since most of the pairs I tried were flimsy matte fabrics and with stretching added. I love the feel and look of this more rugged fabric. It has a more utilitarian look compared to other mall brands.
Does anybody know of more brands carrying this type of fabric/pants?

Thanks so much.

I love Left Field. Their site is a bit annoying to navigate, but as far as workwear chinos, their fit is my favorite out of everything I've tried.
Thanks for the suggestion. Those look interesting, although difficult to find a fit pic. These look rugged but the fabric it's different than the Tellason, less "shiny" (I'm talking about their american made chino, the other one is a poly/cotton mix). Is there a name for that slightly shiny chino fabric? Military chino perhaps? I'm trying to learn more about this type of pants to narrow my search. Thanks again!

Brave Star has some 10oz chinos in straight and tapered leg, I have a pair and they are really nice. Also Jcrew has some officer selvedge chinos but the cut is wide.

It might be a bit of a long shot but have you tried reaching out to Tellason to see if they'd give any details on the fabric?

For general heavy weight chino recommendations, I'm slightly more familiar with Japanese brands but you can't go wrong with:

Buzz Rickson's

If you want to spend more, Warehouse and Co lot 1082 chino or The Real Mccoy's Blue seal chino are great options though you might have some trouble finding them in stock.

Thanks for the suggestion. All these actually looks a lot like the fabric I'm looking for. I just learnt the term "right hand twill", which gives that appearance and toughness.
