For what it's worth, if I can find a good-looking, inexpensive alternative, I'll get that or wait for a sale or it go out-of-season when it's cheaper or something.

Luxury stuff tends to look cooler though. I'm sure for some brands, you are paying for quality, others you're just paying for the name.
