Hey,

I'm looking for good torrent sites for music and movies.

I use Isohunt and Torrentz, but for a lot of indie and electronic music they aren't the best.

Can anyone recommend or invite me to torrent sites that have a good selection?

Thanks!

V-Man, http://torrentscan.com/ The one and only site I use. I'm more of BTJunkie.com person myself but what they don't have, I use that search engine. As far as movies go, check out vcdquality.com. They keep tabs on "official" movie releases so you don't get stuck with "Barney & Friends" when you thought you downloaded "The Departed."

I always try to find a demonoid release first

then piratebay

then mininova

then an array of ad-infested porno-popup search engines

EDIT: oh and tvtorrents for anything that shows on TV.

Demonoid.com is my go to site. 99% of the time they have what I need. They also have a great Mac selection.

Eztv.it is my go to for TV related torrents. It's where they all come from.

Piratebay and Mininova are my back-ups.

I then go down from there to Isohunt and that ilk, but chances are I won't find it at that point.

eztv is my second stop when a show is late and not on tvtorrents yet. Tvtorrents has better quality control/moderation though and old shows are readily available (eztv is only good for fresh stuff not season 2 of Seinfeld or something).

Also, its not quite true that they all come from Eztv. It is often the first tracker that TV shows hit but they are scene released so they come out in newsgroups first. TVtorrents often has stuff added straight from newsgroups just as fast as eztv.

Another one I use (very specific) is sonofshun for the daily show and colbert report. They pretty much only post those two along with documentaries and special shows that would be of interest to fans of those two shows. If the scene releases don't come or are delayed, somebody on SoS always has their own copy up in time.

Mininova, BTJunkie, TPB, Isohunt, Demonoid, ISOHunt as mentioned.

Also:

thebox.bz - for anything coming out of the UK

rslog.net - blog that tracks significant releases

theklaxxon.blogspot.com - One guy who seems to be responsible for half the older movie rips out there
