Okay, every single person who puts on a suit for a social event wants to stand out. How do you get heard when everyone is shouting?

It's simple. You speak quietly, and with the most confidence.

Here's some advice: white shirt, navy tie, white PS, nice shoes. You wanna stand out? Dance well and be witty.

Even if you wear either of the plaid shirts (both are fine, but again, you want to be more fun than your clothes are), wear a plain, dark, solid tie (navy with purple, burgundy or green with blue), and a white PS.

There's nothing particularly outragerous about either shirt. However, if you're going to wear one of them then you want your tie and pocket square to be more serene. Solid navy tie, maybe a pink or purple pocket square.
