They have a few different divisions of Gitman and have been making shirts for other labels. The Gitman "vintage" collection pulls from their archive books and has only been marketed and sold to nice menswear shops since SS09 under their own label and distribution. These are just 5 of their fall shirts (on the website) to show the variety. They still make a lot of very standard oxfords, plaids and the type of thing to be offered every season.

I've been selling Gitman shirt for over thirty years. If you live in the Boston area, I have the Gitman swatches and can make you the shirts you want. I make shirts every day and my customers like what I make for them. P.S. I do not have the Vintage swatches. We have the main line which has over two hundred swatches to offer you.

I really dig a lot of these shirts, but it's incredible how stockists can't seem to keep the majority on the shelves. For the price point of the vintage shirts coupled with the hung jury over the fit, I'm surprised.

And as much as I like these,because they're based on patterns from the early- to mid-80s, it takes a certain amount of steeze (ugh) to not look like a dork in some of the shirts.

I totally agree, I was kinda concerned about this. They mostly look good in product photos, but I've yet to see any fit pics.

There are some sprinkled throughout this thread. Some look solid; others look like they could've done as well by getting a shirt from Gap.
