Getting pleats removed in Boston?

I have a nice Zegna suit I got for a great price at Filene's Basement that unfortunately has double pleats. I could live with single pleats, but doubles are too much for me. I know this is a complicated but doable job, and was looking for advice. I called Jack's Tailoring after checking old threads and he said he won't do it. Does anyone know a tailor in the Boston area that would be good for this job? I am afraid of bringing the pants to a random tailor and having them end up ruined. Thanks for any input!

Sorry I cannot be of any help to you except to say, gain a bunch of weight and those pleats will magically disappear. You could PM Vox.

My understanding is that one of the favorite activities at a StyleForvm Meet-Up is that Members both Senior and Junior participate in a pleat-removing party (this typically occurs after a few drinks, but not so many as to signal the unseemly part of the evening.)

Gentlemen gather in a circle, sheers and pincushions in hand, and notional hijinks ensue.

Fun times.
