Thanks. I'm in the Detroit area, and get to Toronto enough that I could drop shoes off along the way. I don't care about paying for shipping, but it's nice to have a face to face conversation about what you want done. In terms of cost, right now, I'm sending shoes to London (or dropping off when I'm there), so most anything is a reprieve.

I have used, and really like, some cobblers in Sudbury, Barrie, Thunder Bay, and Vancouver as well.

Will try a cobbler in Saskatoon soon.

No decent cobblers in Toronto that I trust. Pretty sad given its the biggest city.

3 pairs rebuilt by Gary recently.

Vintage Florsheim 97626 in shell cordovan, with new grommets, JR soles, welts, and cat paw heels. And toe taps.

Florsheim by John McHale. Toe taps, grommets, new welt, JR soles, and cat paw heels.

Florsheim Golden Harvest that were totally trashed. Dyed blue with blue command soles.

With the shift to WFH, I've developed an indoor only shoe collection. I've also pivoted to wedge soles for the comfort as I use a standing desk. Here is a preview of a few pairs that Gary has rebuilt for me.
