here is the easiest way to find the canvas.
on our diagram the dotted line shows the edge of the canvas.
the seam line is the seam that joins the wool facing to the lining.
the canvas always extends past the facing into the lining area.more or less.
most folks can feel the edge of the canvas just by laying a hand on.
some must pick up the canvas through the lining.
you feel rather than pinching, but some call lthis the pinch point
and thats a good enough name.
when it comes all the way down like that then its a true canvas construction.
