You can make any number of exotics on the Fiero platform, including Lambos, F40s and more. Sometimes they even stretch the frame 12" to address the wheelbase issue and make it look more convincing. These are probably more common than you think. I was at a car show where there was a kit Ferrari replica, replete with FAUXRARI vanity plates. They look a lot better than most fakes that I've seen, that F355 would fool a lot of people visually.
Personally I think if the company spends all this time replicating the Ferrari so painstakingly, why don't they just design their own body style and create their own car line? Lots of companies do it nowadays such as Noble.

You might be surprised. Go check out the ghettoes of Baltimore and you'll see some people living in near-poverty conditions but driving souped-up Escalades, etc. I guess it's all about where their priorities lie.
