Hi,

I am very new to Fabric selection, I've learnt a lot from the Forum...thanks very much guys.

Now I am choosing between worsted wool and Fresco...I am currently living in Sydney, the weather here is not too hot/cold. I want something that is relatively light (9 - 10 oz) hold its shape relatively well, durable and high wrinkle resistant. (I am pretty careless sometimes)

Loro Piana Super 120’s 4 seasons worsted wool or Fresco???

Thanks a lot

Fresco will keep you cooler and resist wrinkles. A plain weave worsted will look and feel more smooth thus, perhaps, a bit more professional/conservative. I have no idea about the LP.

Go to your tailor and ask this question. You've done the hard part.

All frescos are worsteds. Not all worsteds are frescos.

Yes, go ask you tailor, and ignore the forum - you tend to get all sorts of personal preferences being elevated to Eternal Truths. Choose what you like and enjoy first and foremost.

For worsted wool, I would go with the 8/9 oz. H. Lesser book. For fresco, I'd go with Minnis' Fresco.

These are high-quality, traditional English cloths.
