Hello, considering buying something from a vendor in Italy who is offering a better deal if he ships via Post Italiane? Anyone have any experience with them? Curious about timing and potential customs fees. Appreciate any insight. Thank you.

It stops being Poste Italiane the moment the USPS takes the package. So any threads dealing with USPS will have your info.

Thanks. So it's similar to Royal Mail from the UK. For what it's worth, I searched the forums before posting and I may have overlooked the information, but didn't find anything on point.

Not sure about clothing, but Poste Italiane is NOTORIOUS from stealing luxury watches and claiming mailing packages lost in shipment. There are many horror stories online about Italy's postal service. Also they are VERY slow, due to the entity being government owned. It probably is cheaper for the seller to use Poste Italiane, but "costly" on the buyer's side.
