This was posted on AAAC a couple of years ago by someone in the know. Unfortunately, it seems some assclown informed tricker's employer of his postings and they weren't too pleased. I believe he's mentioned moving on to Greener pastures since. He used to post here under another user name as well; I truly wished he'd start posting again.

Fwiw, several members currently have EGs listed in B&S at better than EG sale prices.

Did a little back checking: summer 2008, most shoes were £307. Course exchange rate was a bit different, $1.95 or so then, to about $1.47 now. £391 @ 1.47= $575, £307 @ 1.95= $598. Not a huge difference, but not a killer value esp. when you add in shipping, unless you really find the shoe of your dreams

i got the same email. the price is decent, not mouthwatering, but there are a couple of models that i wouldnt hesitate to snap up if available in my size (e.g. Beaulieu)

also, be aware that if you are using a US-denominated credit card you might get hit with a 2-3% FX interchange fee, depending on your card issuer

The last time I bought from the sale was a pair of Westminsters in dark oak willow on the 888... didn't notice any difference in quality.
