What were the prices from the Jermyn St. sale? Was the discount that much different compared to the pop-up sale?

Shoes were £450 at the Jermyn Street sale, whereas at the pop-up sale non-defect shoes were £390; the main point of the pop-up sale was to get rid of their defect shoes. Most of the shoes on the shelves were defect shoes, for sizes 8-9 almost all the shoes were defect - I did not find a perfect shoe in my size (8.5, regardless of width) on Friday and my friend found one perfect shoe in 8.5E on the first day.

It would be interesting to know how busy they were besides the first day and maybe future events would be shorter (then 5 days) but at a larger location.

Hmmm, maybe next time the Jermyn St. sale sounds better and less of a hassle. Noted.

Two different sales - people may have been hoping for perfect shoes at crazy prices, what was available were defect shoes at good prices especially as some of the defects were unnoticable to most people (i.e. lining on shoe slighty out) or something a bit of shoe cream could hide.

clbs got banned? why? why now?

I got some complaints about him from several members, and also found out that he was a reincarnation (empty, poincare, a few others) of a member who'd been banned previously. If you've been banned, and you decide to come back, we may let you hang out, but we may also ban the crap out of you an any time.

I have no issue with people disagreeing with my positions. Some of the guys I really respect thing that my ideas are bunk, and vice versa. On the other hand (and this was not the case here,) if you don't heed me when I'm posting as the administrator, you're probably going to get the axe. So, to summarize, it was just business as usual. What he posted here about me had no bearing on his banning. If it wasn't me, it was going to be another mod doing it.

It's good to know that he was banned for "legitimate" reasons, not not because SF is turning into a no-free-speech-zone-unless-your-free-speech-agrees-with-that-of-the-Mods. :)

That difference makes me lean towards getting firsts...

No. I am happy, got some shoes and ties at very good prices :D
Both work, but they different sales - Jermyn Street for perfect shoes and pop-up/factory for defect shoes.

Might just look out for seconds at the Factory Store instead if I have the opportunity in the future.

The big green won't ship to US during the annual Dec sale, would they?

I wonder if you purchase a shoe full price, they would consider also shipping seconds additionally. :)
