i used to hate ed hardy, until i found a tee that i really liked. People who hate on people just because of what they wear are equally, if not more despicable as those who wear something because of "the brand".

Not that I'm trying to top you in douchiness or anything, but I love that you're name dropping clubs/bars like they're the coolest thing in town, yet you can get in wearing a t-shirt. What the Hell planet are you on..

Uncalled for. I think most people dress for others. If you have ever posted in WAYW, you care what people think. Most don't admit it, but it's still not fair to call it "pathetic."

Ed Hardy is one of the brands I hate the most.

IMHO, I don't think adidasfan would have caught as much heat from other SF members if he was simply trying to defending the Ed Hardy brand. It was more likely his line of reasoning for wearing Ed Hardy, even though he claim to dislike the brand, and his attempt of name dropping these local clubs to justify why he has to wear it. As an Asian myself, I find it really quite sad that he felt that he has to dress a certain way in order to "convey to the white people" that he is "fun". A comment like that just screams insecurity and an abnormally desperate need of acceptance to me.

I have no plans to. However, it is quite pathetic to willingly put on something you DISLIKE in order to gain acceptance by a group of people.

don't think anyone here would hate someone exclusively for wearing ed hardy. it's generally a case of simply hating what they wear. are you honestly arguing that ed hardy doesn't have a pretty generalizable clientele, though?

To be fair, Ed Hardy people typically are folks who KNOW they aren't stylish and are making an (albeit poor) attempt to be relevant and covering it up with false confidence.

Whats worse than Ed Hardy are guys who wear polo shirts with the collar up.

Those guys seriously think they are fashion gurus and walk with their noses up in their Tom Ford lookalike aviators.

They don't get the hate because they wear Ed Hardy. They get the hate because of the type of person that Ed Hardy unfortunately stereotypes. The people who wear Ed Hardy wear it not because they like it, but solely because of the social gains they believe they receive from it...sort of like our asian/indian hybrid friend above.

I'm the opposite, I dislike people expressly for wearing Ed Hardy. It's tacky bullshit, and it goes out of its way to be tacky bullshit. If you wore a Monarchy t-shirt, or a Dom Rebel t-shirt, or one of those hoodies with a serious-looking Daffy Duck counting out hundred dollar bills, I would have the same reaction.

thats exactly what happened to me.

i hated Ed Hardy and never understood why people buy it..and i still dont.

until i found 1 tshirt and 1 pair of jeans that i just fell in love with.

ill have to post the pics and find out what others think but most of my friends
hate Ed Hardy as well except for the tshirt i got even they want it.
