Does anybody know who makes a dress shoe/boot? I have seen some before that kind of look like a leather desert boot or chukka. Something that can be worn with a suit, they might be a tad bit higher than your ankle. I remember Bradley Cooper wearing something like this in the Hangover when he was wearing his suit. Anyone's help would be appreciated.

Most of the Northamptonshire brands make some form of dress boots, in the form of balmoral boots, chelseas and so on. I would not describe a chukka or desert boot as a 'dress boot' though, they are both casual styles which would not really work with a suit.

Balmorals are your standard dress boot, resembling a captoe oxford but in boot form. Chelsea boots certainly work with a suit because of their clean lines, and are marketed as such, but I'd hesitate to describe them as a "dress boot" specifically.

Most manufacturers make balmorals and chelseas just as for shoes most manufacturers make oxfords, brogues, loafs and monks. Standard stuff.

Can try EG Shannon. It can also be ordered as button up version, for morning coats.

Black "Oxford Chukkas" is what I realized that I am talking about. Who makes good ones?

For all the cool button boot pictures shown here and elsewhere, I've yet to see anyone actually wearing them. (not counting pics from the turn of the last century)

They are meant for morning coats... and .... I do not know of anyone else [in person] who owns a set.

In grey and black yes. (or with a stroller) Someone posted a brown w cinnamon suede that could work with a lounge suit. But I've never seen either in action. Bal boots are probably as formal as you'll see IRL.
