Patterns for pants are tricky. Loud plaids are pretty much the only ones that work for me.

Now you really confuse me. What's not to love about donegal tweed or herringbone tweed pants. Sure it's more casual than a pair of flannels but tweed is great for odd pants. Where's the dislike coming from ? I wouldn't call that a pattern as much as a texture btw.Originally Posted by gdl203

Just one of those things "not done" that's been in my head since I started thinking about clothes. They are jacket or suit patterns, not odd trouser patterns.
I think I am right about the history on this, but even if I am not I am right about my personal aversion.
