Do you wear pleated pants, flat front pants, or both?

#1 I prefer pleated pants and will continue to buy them primarily.

#2 I wear flat front pants and will continue to buy them primarily.

#3 I wear both pleated and flat front pants.

#4 I wear pleated pants and I'm thinking of buying some Flat front pants.

A few caveats. I prefer and primarily wear pleated pants. All of my suits have pleated pants. All of my dress pants and some casual pants are pleated. Some of my pants are flat front (jeans, most of my cords, and many of my cotton casual pants).

But having participated in the Forum and observing trends, I'm thinking of a suit with flat front pants. Perhaps, but less urgent, would be an odd dress pant with a flat front.

So, how do you feel about pleated pants versus flat front. Do you have all of one or the other. Are you considering flat front pants , if you've been primarily a pleated pant man. I would be very surprised if anyone has been wearing primarily flat front pants and is now thinking of going to pleated pants.

Thanks in advance, and what say all of you?

All flat front, except one polo suit (forward pleats), and a pair of old polo chinos (reverse pleats). I don't really mind the forward variety, and would like to pick up a few more pairs of odd trousers with them, but I really dislike reverse/American pleats.

70-30, pleated over flat. No flat front suit trousers.

I love pleated pants.

They seem to drape better on me and give me more room for the "boys" if you know what I mean.

60/40 with a slight preference for pleats. I decided that I prefer the elongating look of single forward or reverse pleats. Flat fronts are reserved for business casual trousers--mostly cords and moleskins. I don't really like the look of double pleats with corduroy.

All suit pants pleated (mostly single pleats)...odd trousers are flat fronts for me.

I have a variety of styles inc double reverse, double forward, flat front and single reverse. My personal favourite - and what I choose for bespoke and MTM - is single reverse, but I do not let the pleat style overgovern my choice of RTW garment and rather look at the overall effect.

I wear both pleated and flat front pants. I prefer flat front pants. As pleated, I prefer singel pleat. My suit trousers are pleated. Just now I wear a charcoal singel pleated wool pant.

I prefer flat, with a full rise. Or, a single pleat, again with a full rise. Double and triple pleats, are too much for my height.

According to Carson on Queer Eye pleasted pants are a fashion crime. I don't think he was referring to suit pants. For a casual suit I would go flat fron. For a formal or MTM suit, probably pleats. For all casual pants, khakis cords, etc., I now only wear flat. I made the switch after seeing far too many men, including probably me, look like pears due to pleated pants that did not hang right or were too small, etc.
