Do "the basics" go on sale?

Lacoste retro fit or long sleeved polos... sweaters too... since they're "the basics" - sales happen? Or not so much.

In addition, are any Lacoste dealers on eBay selling authentic stuff?

I think Lacoste has sales at their stores infrequently, where they offer 30% off, but the shirts go VERY fast (think less than a day for popular sizes/colors even at a large store like South Coast Plaza)

Seconded. I was at South Coast Plaza during their last sale and the place was absolutely mobbed. This was at 11:30a to boot. If anything, I would give the store a call to verify the next promotion.

As for ebay, the vast majority of polos are fake.

Yeah, are there any legit or is it best to suck it up and pay retail price?

Honestly, I'm not sure as I don't buy clothes on ebay. But from knowing a couple guys in college who paid their rent by selling fake Lacoste and Burberry polos, I would advise against it. In the end, law of averages dictates that you'll probably lose more money by chancing ebay. Why not just wait for a sale at the local boutique? Full retail is a bit outrageous IMO.

Just suck it up and pay retail. You're not really going to find real ones on ebay unless you get really lucky and even then the color and quality may not be as good as a retail store. Lacoste outlets SOMETIMES have decent deals but usually in weird sizes. There aren't very many lacoste outlets though.

I have seen sales on lacoste several times at neimanmarcus.com but the stuff usually goes pretty quick. I would check there every once in a while.

Are there actual Lacoste outlet stores? I've heard yes and no. I'm here in Chicago confused. :p

Lacoste outlet @ Cabazon (951) 922-2138

you could inquire if they have polos on sale, if you're really curious.
