Hello,

I'm getting the Okinawa and I know they need to be 2 sizes larger but what about length? Do they stretch / shrink?

E.g. - they come in L34 and my inseam is 31. Do I want to shorten them (not too big on stacking or cuffing currently)

Thanks

If they shrink in the waist, they shrink everywhere. I wouldn't hem them at all. If they come in 34, they will shrink to a 32 or 31.

Thanks - the thing is the description says they just run small 2 sizes so I am getting a 32 waist to fit me as 30...

they're stretch, so buy 30's..
They're already a regular cut jean, so sizing up two would just mean you'd be getting baggy jeans.

BTW, the okinawas at Self Edge are one-wash, so they wont shrink that much.

Thank you!

Hm, I didn't get from Self Edge because there was only 31 and the text said to size up 2 for a normal fit...

Too late now, I guess I'll wait to see what I get...

They're not really 34L from my experience. My Hawaii one washes say 34L and actually measure 32. As far as waist sizing goes, if you look at the sizing chart at selfedge it's about spot on. Mine were about 1 waist sizer smaller than tagged.

My raw Sugar Canes shrank after washing in cold water and air drying to about the tag length and waist, maybe a little less. They were probably 2" bigger than the tag in the waist and 4" in length before the first washing. I never put them in the dryer. But they still shrunk so much that I had to give them away.

OPS!

I think I read to size up one or two on your website. That's the reason I didn't go for the 31s which are in stock and had to look for 32s... But I just double checked and didn't see this - guess I was confused

Thanks

You must have been confused.. you read something that wasn't there on our site then ordered them from another site? Either way, they don't run two sizes small, and they also don't shrink if you order from us because we carry them in the one-wash state.. other sites may carry the no-wash version..

Yes, I thought I read it on your site and decided I need 32, then I looked the available stock and saw you only had 31 but not 32...

Anyway, I guess I have 2 or so days to bulk up

I *may* try selling / swapping here, of course. For now I'll wait to get them and try them on

thanks!
