I would go with navy as well.

There is a bizzare anti-black fever around here, but black has it's time and place. The problem is that it is easy to end up owning too much of it because it is everywhere.

Wow thanks for the input guys... a lot of love for Navy and some surprising hate for Black!

I was actually leaning towards Navy but thought you all wouldn't agree.

Now just to make things more interesting, what if I threw Graphite into the mix?

Yeah, it's very bizarre. Makes no damn sense. Pick the color that fits your wardrobe best. Raw indigo denim and brown boots? sounds like Navy is a safe bet.

I don't mind black denim, socks, accessories, but outerwear looks great in navy. It's compatible with a lot more and doesn't have a stark appearance which kind of needs to be "maintained". Plus the world is swimming in enough black pea coats.

Can not go wrong with navy or graphite. I don't mind black, but find myself going for my jackets that are navy or any other colour before black. Graphite is nice as it can be paired with most anything the navy could be, I think, and not look too monochrome.

It's not black hate.

It's just that he's wearing brown boots and indigo jeans most of the time. Hence, navy is a better choice, do you need it explained that navy and brown pair perfectly and black and brown do not?

Black has its place, particularly in a motorcycle jacket, but for what OP is planning to pair with, it's not the best choice.

The black hate is all over the forum, I don't think anyone was talking about the OP.
