cutting your own hair...

I did this for the first time a few weeks ago. Number four on top, two on the back and sides. Without a mirror (as I did it) it's not that easy. Especially the fading (use a comb and watch some videos on youtube for this). Around the ears is very hard too, I think you need scissors ideally.

I finished off with a razor on the back of the neck whilst using two mirrors, this was incredibly confusing, I have to say...

Go for it in any case, I only had mine cut once every two months and hated it. Why do barbers talk such crap, honestly?

My mother has clippers and every blade and guard known to man. I may have to give hair cutting a shot next time.

I've been cutting my own hair on #1 for years now. Over time, it gets easier to trim the back using two mirrors. I recommend having some small sharp beard clippers for handling the back and sideburns (if you have any).
