I'm moving to bolivia for 6 months and from what i hear i can get custom made suits for under 100 dollars or somethin cheap. I don't make much money so this is an interesting option for me. has anyone ever gotten any suits made in a poor country like this? what should i expect? I've never gotten a custom suit made period so any pointers would be great.

who is Pendel &braithwaite?
I actually only know of 2 tailors with any reputation in panamá EP and DF. I would not be surprised if i had not heard of this one since I have only been here a year could you please give me his number.

Ol' Panzer is joking. Harry Pendel is a character in the novel "The Tailor from Panama" and he runs a store called Pendel & Braithwaite. I think Pierce Brosnan starred in the film adaptation.

I actually thought about doing that while I was there and never got around to it. I did have a pair of jeans hemmed by a tailor in santa cruz for about $3.00. It looked like he made suits, but I can't speak of the quality or price. If I had to guess I would think that you would find a better tailor in La Paz, as I definately saw more men wearing suits, as it has a better climate for it.

If you want to know anything about Santa Cruz or Bolivia in general let me know, as I spent about a year and a half there.
