Hey all, am looking to get black and white pique bowties made to a custom length (so no snaps, adjustments, nothing- one clean piece of fabric). Looked and looked and haven't found much (there was an earlier thread on here but didn't see much I liked.)

Thoughts? Thanks!

Sam Hober, Le Noeud Papillon, Vanda Fine Clothing, will all make you a bespoke bow tie.

If Naked Butterfly does custom lengths well, that is a new thing. I tried that once on one of their standard fabrics, and they totally botched it.

Now, if I want to use their diamond point ties (which are a wonderful shape), i order at the biggest discount I can find (which happens at surprising frequency), and forward to Tiecrafters to make it a single length. The NP hardware is sufficiently heavy that it is worth jettisoning when possible.

Vanda specifically said they weren't interested in single-sized bowties, b/c of stretch over its life. Don't know if I buy it, but would respect their decision not to be involved. Too bad, as they have many nice fabrics, and what looks to be a very serviceable set of bow designs.

Just ordered a bespoke black silk faille bow tie with Sam Hober. Customized width, height, and neck size. David was incredibly responsive and I’ve been impressed with the entire process.

Yes-- Sam Hober is a very good option, and maybe the best when it comes to combining service with a huge selection of classic (i.e., less-flashy) silks.

Others include Beau Ties, Ltd, that will sometimes do this.

I think it is a relatively new thing for Nicholas. I haven't tried ordering a single length tie from anywhere other than Hober. Interesting about Vanda, too.

The Hanger Project had a great sale on white bow ties. I bought one and plan to ask my tailor if he can cut around the hardware and sew the ends together at the proper length for my face. I don't think that it will be a tough job.
