I'm going to see Joe Hemrajani next week for some OCBDs and I need to decide on some options. I have not worn dress shirts regularly yet so I'm hoping for some opinions on my initial choice of cuff & gauntlets buttons. I've already searched and read several threads on this topic but I'm hoping to get some OCBD specific opinions. These shirts will usually be worn without a jacket or tie. The cuffs will be mitered in any case. I don't think I'll be rolling up my sleeves often. Thanks.

I like shorter 1-button, round barrel cuffs. No gauntlet button. More fitting to the casual OCBD imo.

I'd go for 1-button with the gauntlet button.

WTF you talkin' 'bout?

There's no reason to have multiple buttons on a custom cuff. The first thing I do with all my shirts is adjust the cuff button to put the cuff a half inch (or so) below the jacket cuff.

Then, get that superfluous second button off there, and in my spare button stash.

Double buttons are for schmucks who don't know that a shirt is underwear.

Voted for 2.5" 1b by the way. I prefer shorter cuffs for all shirts.

Shorter cuff, and why the hell would you omit the gauntlet button? It never gets in the way, at least for me, and it keeps the sleeve placket closed.

Well if the gauntlet is slightly shorter then you don't really need a button and, in my opinion, can look cleaner.

I also prefer the look of double cuff shirts without gauntlet buttons.
