Good memory, m8. Gingko biloba?
If the A/W '12 - '13 brown Lindrick is indeed shell gotta wonder why the black calf fake Lindrick is the same price.

LOL, thanks - just been anxiously watching and waiting on the Lindrick's return. I missed them last year, as they were out of my size by the time I saw and considered them.

most people dont know of the difference between shell and calf. period. the guys at rl dont even know the difference. to them shell just means the brown one. some previous models made in brown and black:
tassel loafer
darlton wingtip
lindrick

+ Marlow PTB

I actually asked for the shell cordovan one when I called in and got my PTBs last year, and the guy said they don't carry that color. I said, ok, give me the brown ones.

LOL. All this chatter has got me eyeing the Lindrick again...but it's unjustifiable in California.

Yeah I called a store to check if they were available by asking what shell cordovan they had in stock, and the SA told me he didn't know of any stock like that. When I said brown wingtips he said yeah they had a FSR

I've been wearing shell in the 100+ degree San Fernando valley heat, pretty wearable even in terms of boots

A big thanks to NAMOR for the heads up (earlier in this thread) and to the seller who was a real pleasure to deal with.

I can't get used to the broguing across the ankle:

Don't get me wrong, they are great looking boots but they'd be perfect without that IMO.

I know what you mean but that's actually one of the reasons I got them. I already have the Carmina equivalent in saddle shell below:

I wanted something similar but darker and it came down to a choice between the Lindrick and the the Carmina in cognac shell which is coming up soon in an Epaulet restock. I decided to go with something a little different, hence the Lindrick.

Since you don't like the brogueing, the Carmina might be just what you're after.

Last October was when most of the Lindricks were purchased. I believe I paid $650-$700 after shipping and taxes. Great price for a C&J shell boot
