Pretty sure they are confirmed calf, just as the black Darltons are.

I noticed my PTBs are creasing exactly like this. I guess it's normal? I mean the big rolls with the flat space in between.

I can feel the air of anticipation in this thread...like predators awaiting the meaty 30%+15% kicker sale to be delivered into our inboxes...ready to be devoured by the StyleForum RL groupthink pack.

    (Which I am part of.)

Well to be fair, the calf lindrick is Lindrick Calf Boot, while the shell one is just the Lindrick kind of alluding to the fact that it is shell compared to the clearly calf labeled one

    Argh! The cheek.

Just revisited the website and RL now it has a brown Lindrick, but no mention of either calf or shell. Same price as the black calf fake Lindrick, so I surmise the brown one is calf too. Anyone know a SA who can confirm/deny the shell?

Okay, I'll bite. The benefit of "alluding to the fact" it's shell rather than explicitly stating so?

Is shell the don't-ask don't-tell leather?

This Lindrick talk won't be over, what is so fascinating about this boot, guys? It is a boot version of the wingtip and frankly, I have the wingtips and they get very little wear.

That's you though. I've used my pair of Marlows twice this week.

The boot is more comfortable. There's no heel slippage as you can tie up a bit higher and lock down at the ankle. It's my best fitting pair of fine footwear.

I have several pairs of shoes and for some reason do not reach out to wingtips often. They fit me very well though and I should start wearing them more often.

This is the typical creasing pattern for shell cordovan. It's one reason I like shell so much.

I own both the Marlow wingtips and MacCallum chukka boots and wear both of the frequently. I wear them whenever I want a rugged, casual look, usually with jeans, and the Dainite soles on the chukka boots makes them great for rainy days. I wish the Lindricks had some kind of rubber sole, as I'm looking for another pair of rain boots, ideally shell cordovan wingtips with Dainite or Ridgeway soles and a storm welt.
