Just purchased my first suit since sept. 2006. Any comments or suggestions?

2 things I asked the tailor to do versus the suit I purchased in 2006 was to make the jacket a touch longer and to bring it in a touch at the waist (both suggestions he recommended against). The suit feels good but was wondering if you guys think it is a touch too long and a touch too snug in the waist or is it good as is. Because of my crappy camera (and crappy lighting, and awkward angle of camera and my inability to pose) I had to take the photos of the jacket while wearing different colour pants.

Fire away.

I like the fit. Jacket may be a touch long but more than acceptable. I think you did very well.

Maybe it's a tad long, but I think that's a subjective matter. It's the sleeves that are bothering me.

I like the suit, but think the sleeves have a problem. They shouldnt be diagonal like that.

I don't understand why you paid to lengthen it... the length was probably good to begin with from the pics. Otherwise you're doing pretty good.

There is something not right about the trouser leg lengths in your photographs but that might just be posture.

The suit was MTM from the same tailor I used 2 years ago. I thought that old one was a touch short so asked him to make a touch longer. He recommended the same length.

I am going to try and snap a few shots of the hand sewn button holes and the other stitching details. They really add to the suit.

+1. I would ask the tailor to fix the sleeves. The rest looks fine.

With some better lighting, I am able to post a couple of close ups of the edge stitching and button holes. Please excuse the horrible buttons - Nice buttons are something I have not yet been able to source.

With the sleeves, are you holding your arms naturally? That can affect things for the internet.

No. Arms are not held naturally. Arms were at an angle which causes the visual problem.
