re sizing - I may be an exception here with a slightly fat foot and narrow heel, but anyway. I'm a tight true size 8, 7.5 in chucks is tight, 8 in chucks are comfy but a bit long, perfect 8 in purcels, and a 7.5 in Clark DB... ie sized down 0.5.

hope that helps

Tried the beeswax on ... I wear 9 in jack purcells, 9 in vans era, 42 in CP, and the 8.5 DB was a bit too large on me, so 8 is what I will get. However, keep in mind I have narrow feet.

Thanks for the advice guys. Sized one size down and they fit(a little snug) but is all good. If anyone is looking for a decent deal, i bought mine off Endless for 72 $ which i think is fairly cheap.

Since i bought sand suede i was wondering waht you guys would recommend for cleaning them? and stop jeans from bleeding onto them?

Just spray them with a suede protector first and then every so often, it may darken the color a bit but not by much. Wouldn't do much else to be honest, i think they look better beaten up.

What's the general consensus on beeswax leather DB's and rain? Does the beeswax act as a basic repellent or should I treat them with Obenauf's LP? I really like their current color, but I'll be in the UK for the rest of the year and I don't want them to get water spots everywhere.

Also, for reference purposes, I usually wear 7 in Jack Purcells, chucks, Sperrys, and most shoes, and I got a 7 in Clarks. They fit quite nicely (I've got wide feet). The width is perfect but the toe area feels somewhat loose if I wear thin socks.

I'm a 9 Nike, and 8.5 Vans.
Originally sized 8 in Clarks, but was too narrow.
Sized 8.5 on Clarks and it was perfect!
