Unfortunately, I wear EEE width shoes, size 11.5. I've lately taken a liking to the shoes pictured below, which come in a "G" fitting. Would a G fitting be sufficiently wide for me?

They really are lovely shoes.

They should be, depending on the last.

I've had a pair of Consuls on the 100 last fit me fine in the with in size 12G but not in length.

Then a pair of Chetwynds on the 173 last in 12F which fit fine all around, even a bit generous on the width.

I normally wear size 12.5-13D US.

YMMV

You would be either 11G or 11H, UK measurements.

These shoes look like to be on the 73 last.... at 11G (UK sizing), I'm afraid they might still be too narrow. The 73 last tend to run abit smaller and narrow compared to their other lasts.

Agreed though, lovely shoes and lovely last. I prefer the 173 last alot more though, as I've a high arch, and that last runs more true to sizing.

Think it might stretch out to be workable? They're gorgeous shoes and I'd hate to deny them to myself for fear of future orthopaedic surgery.

I wear 4E running shoes and have even more difficulty finding dress shoes that
fit. In my experience, stretching substantial lasted shoes as you show in your
illustration, does not really work. At least it never worked for me. It might work
for light loafers and the like.

I usually wear a US 7.5 3E or 2E. Last winter I ordered the Church Darwin in 7G from Herring. It was too narrow and I returned it. It is on the Church 93 last. A couple months earlier I had purchased a C&J Chepstow 6.5G which is very comfortable. Obviously the G width varies similarly to US brands. If you are willing to go to the trouble you can order, try on, and return if it does not fit.
