Hey guys, going to buy my first pair of Chukka's. Until now I have been wearing Puma Roma's
I just updated my wardrobe cardigans, dark slim straight jeans, plain/plaid button down so I decided to buy some Chukkas since my pumas make me look like a kid. (Feel that way anyway).

I am 22 so I still want my shoes to be "cool. I like these

The blue gives them an edge and I think it looks cool. I got mixed opinions so let me know what you guys think. Make any suggestions you think are appropriate.

Budget is around 150$ I would love to get two pairs for around 250$ one brownish and one black. I dont want to go all out and buy the most expensive pair when its only going to be my first pair.

I would go with brown over black for chukkas since they're more casual, and if you can spend $250 for one good pair, its better than to get 2 ****** pairs

I have a pair of 3140 Red Wing Chukka's that i think are very nice, perhaps a bit bulky but i find them nice in the winter months.

Don't go by brand, go by construction and material, the strongest and most weather resistant leather would prob be cordovan, then calf, then suede, it just depends what you can afford and what style you like, some like chisel toes some like round toes

Stating that something is "COOL" is very subjective. If you want to wear them to be cool to win your next chick, well then you might lose the edge....Think twice before you purchase them, unless they are your grail shoes.

Just about the same things as buying any shoes. Chukkas don't live on planet Chukka.

The best quality i know of is Aldens, but i am sure there are some much nicer out there - but will probably run you a small fortune. But, think about it. The shoe needs to match the rest you are going for. Some are more workwear while others are more business oriented.

This board has an addiction to recommending indy boots.
Got syphilis? Have you tried indy boots?
