I just discovered the planet Chukka and did not know how it was spelt lol. I dont want them to show to much lace. not to plain either. I like the ones that have the white bottums.

When I referred to the pair i posted as"cool" I meant that after googling for different pairs of chukkas those were the most orginal I found.

These are some Alden Cordovan Chukkas, quite a bit more than $250, more than double actually

Slickman, I doubt OP is up for cordovans! My chukkas are Loakes, and look similar to other desert boots, but you might say a bit more formal or sleeker. Might not be the right look for OP's tastes.... build quality is infinitely better than say Clark's, but still not up to Church's or Trickers brands, which might eventually replace them in my wardrobe. Got them for 45 pounds + 20 shipping on ebay... so maybe $100. Pics stolen from someone's blog:

I am having trouble with Clarks, i find them very uncomfortable. Perhaps i should look at those Loakes.

What are monkey boots?? They don't sound very appealing??? I def want them to be a bit more chunky then the Loakes, but those are very sleek.

What stores would they carry clarks in?? Guessing none of the athletic shoe stores like finish line or champs. Macys? all the high end stores near here are downtown Chicago, Michigan Ave. Going to have to go this weekend.
