Looking for any personal experience on where one can get a good shoe shine in the city. Price not really a concern. Is Nordstrom still tops in this field? Any feedback appreciated.

The shine stand at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (Wacker & Monroe) is the best in the city. Lloyd does absolutely beautiful work. You'll need to get a visitor pass, but it's worth it.

Unless the best polish and the best/cleanest brushes are used, my recommendation is to polish your shoes yourself, which can also be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, but I'm really into shoes.
