Chelsea boots...very difficult to put on. Can anything be done?

I recently won a pair of new Barney's suede chelsea boots from ebay. I like them a lot and once they are on they fit great...but of course getting them on is the hard part. I feel like the elastic part on the side are going to rip out. Can anything be done to make them easier to put on?

do you have a boot horn? get one of those cheap long, plastic ones.

I have the same issue (and maybe same boots - suede barney's chelseas). long shoe horn is the only way to go, otherwise I nearly break my ankle

It is probably the same boots.
Boot horns...I will have to find me one.
